BioOK - story of my life... I grew up in England - after finishing school, I worked in a bookshop for a year, started doing medieval studies at uni. Dropped out after the first year was over coz I didnt like the course or the area. Went to work as a soapmaking assistant in a monastery in Norway for 6 months, which I loved (despite not being religious). Got another job in a different monastery/student home doing cleaning work and taking evening classes in Norwegian. Left that job and studied Norwegian for 6 months. Came back to the UK to do some A levels in 1 year so I could improve my grades to study at Oslo Uni. Now living in Oslo doing a degree in Arabic (2 years) and Hebrew (1 year). Last semester I was in Cairo for the study abroad part of my course. Now I'm finishing up with Arabic and applying to places to do the 1 year of Hebrew (places that hopefully have a more stimulating Hebrew study environment than at Oslo...)
